  1. IPX/SPX could not be initialized for Winmenu!!! 
  2. Below are some common reasons and suggestions:

  4. 1) Check your SYSTEM/INI and be sure you are loading
  5. VIPX.386 driver.  
  6.  
  7. 2) Check you are loading IPXODI at boot time.
  8.  
  9. 3) Check 'Installing Winmenu' in the online documentation 
  10. (admin.hlp) and verify you have the latest Novell drivers. 
  11.  
  12. 4) IPX tried to increase the amount of local memory and couldn't.
  13.  Increase the available memory in your workstation.
  14.  
  15. 5) IPX sockets are in direct conflict with some other application.
  16. Try changing the Winmenu sockets value. These are like 
  17. communication channels which might be conflicting with 
  18. another application using the same sockets. See 'Changing sockets' 
  19. in the online documentation (admin.hlp). NOTE: See C:\NETCOM.log
  20.  
  21. 6) When everything else fails, you may permanently disable the IPX 
  22. functionality in Winmenu.  The IPX function is a trivial one for the
  23. system and not necessary for the intended purpose of Winmenu.  Rename
  24. or erase the file NETCOM.DLL in your Winmenu's directory.
